Call waiting on ring groups has been in 3CX for a very long time ( since version 7 anyway ) – it’s hidden away in Advanced Settings under the parameter “ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP”.

We’ve found that this feature is essential to our customers and some of the guides online are not very clear .

To enable call waiting on ring groups in 3CX – perform the following:

  1. Open the 3CX Management Console
  2. Open the Settings page
  3. Open Advanced
  4. Open the “Custom Parameters” tab in the Advanced Settings page
  5. Search for the “ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP” and change the value from 0 to 1
  6. Restart the 3CX services
  7. Test đŸ™‚

Call waiting on ring groups in 3CX should now be active.
